Miette Skirt
Miette Skirt

After spending some time this weekend searching for sewing blogs, I came across a great blog called Tilly and the Buttons. This gorgeous sewing blog has some amazing pieces that Tilly has made, including the Miette skirt which I'd really like to give a go myself. This is a cute, feminine style a-line skirt with a bow around the waist. Such a fun style for summer, but I'm sure it could also be converted into a winter skirt (if I make the right fabric choice).

In the meantime, I have also been doing some sketches for ideas on how to use 1m of vintage style floral cotton which I bought a few weeks ago. I'm planning to make a top from the fabric, but still in throws as to what style. My latest favourite is a loose, high-neck t-shirt style so I'll keep you posted with how it turns out. I'm also having  tough time trying decide whether I should use button, a zip or none of these options... it's all in the details!
